Ally and Callie

Hey guys! I’m sure some of you noticed that we are best friends who are miles apart. 630 miles if you want to be exact, but at this point who is counting 🤷🏻‍♀️. I bet your wondering how do we know each other. Callie and I met our freshman year of college when she lived next door. We spent the next 3 years of college as roommates. During those years we were inseparable from not only living together but working together. The only time we spent apart was during classes. I majored in Early Childhood Education while Callie majored in Athletic Training. After graduation I moved to South Carolina.

The adjustment from living together and spending literally almost every moment together was hard. Even though we are so far apart you would never know by listening to our conversations together. We tended to argue like an old married couple👨🏼‍🦳👵🏼. We have stayed close and talk daily. Now of course our time together is limited and now spent in a new way. Where we use to be fun and go out, now we are perfectly happy with walking around Target, Dinner date and dessert. Our conversations that range all hours of the day and night are now spent talking about babies, our husbands and sharing baby pictures.

Why start a blog? Well in those millions of texts we have constantly said to each other ” why didn’t anyone tell us this?” Motherhood is messy, hard and if your like us full of questions. So after asking each other a million questions, sharing funny but gross stories we decided why not start a blog where we can share and communication with other moms. And lets be honest most of the time the only thing keeping me sane is having another mom who can relate and is going through this journey too. Surely we aren’t the only ones feeling like we need a manual for motherhood.

So grab your wine🍷, coffee ☕️ or whatever your drink of choice is and sit back and enjoy the ride. Maybe by the time we are done we will have written this so needed manual for motherhood. Wait! Who are we kidding just when you think you have motherhood figured out your child hits a new milestone and you’re back at square one.

  2. Motherhood sure is a huge challenge and that manual is sorely needed … even if you only make a start that’s huge! What a great friendship and support for each other, this is much needed, keep it up 🙂

Nice to meet you and welcome to WP 🙂
